FOREIGN ENGLISH

We are an Association of Foreign English Teachers  that would work with the various governmental agencies providing English education in Siheung city. 

본 협회는 시흥의 영어 공교육을 발전하기 위해 일하는 '원어민 영어교사의 독립적 조직체' 입니다.

We have established a list of priorities for the Foreign English Teachers' Association; 

본 협회 운영의 주된 목적은 다음과 같습니다.

1. To improve the quality of life of our members by helping them to adjust to living and  working in Korea,
   
   회원의 한국에서의 일상 및 직장 생활의 적응을 도와  그들의 삶의 질을 개선합니다.
   
   
2. To improve the quality of English Education through professional development of our members,
   
   회원의 교사로서의 전문적인 발전을 통하여 영어교육의 질을 개선합니다.
   
   
3. To ensure that the students of Siheung are receiving the best possible English education by maintaining international standards of English education.
   
   회원의 영어교육의 국제적인 기준을 준수한  교육 활동으로 시흥의 학생들이 최고의 영어교육을 받을 수 있도록 보장하기 위함입니다.
   
   

Our Organization

We are a non-profit organization that works closely with the Korea English Teachers' Association, the City of Siheung, and the Siheung Office of Education.

Currently we have a small core of staff that work to provide all the services for our members.

본 협회는 시흥 한국인 영어교사 협회, 시흥시청과 시흥교육청과 상호 협력하는 비영리 단체입니다.

현재 본 협회는 회원을 위한 각종 서비스의 제공을 담당하는 소규모의 임원 조직을 갖고 있습니다.

Our Members Are?

To be a member in our Organization you must be a foreign teacher working in Siheung with a valid E or F visa.

You must be employed at either an Elementary, or Middle School.

Membership is automatic in this association if you meet the above qualifications.

Foreign English High School Teachers are not eligible at this time.

(This is because you are currently managed directly by the province
and not  the city)

본 협회에 회원이 되기 위해서는 E 또는   F비자를 갖고 시흥에 근무해야합니다.

또한 초등학교 또는 중학교에 고용된 자에 한합니다.

위의 두 조건을 만족한다면 당신은 본협회에 자동적으로 가입이 됩니다. 

고등학교에 근무하는 원어민 교사는 아직까지는  회원으로 받아들이지 않습니다.

이는 고등학교는  시흥교육청이 아닌 경기도 교육청에 의해 관리되기 때문입니다.
